We all have amazing cameras in our pockets. Our cellphones allow us to shoot perfect clear images whenever we want. But analogue photography, film photography is something else. It is grainy, it is slow, it is perfectly imperfect. And it is a pleasure.
Negatives are almost for ever. Pixels go away. It is not hating, it is reality. Ask me about my first pictures on a digital camera.. they are now converted into digital ghost dust or something like that. The card that stored them got corrupted inside my archive, after 10 years. I have my grandfather’s negatives …
That’s a very important question. I shoot on film because I truly love the way analogue photography paints images with light. They look different. Somehow more real.
